Over the years, I have created users experiences for mobile apps, computer applications and websites. Below are a couple of my favorite case studies.
During the rebranding of Exclusive Resorts, I led a complete redesign for ExclusiveResorts.com, transforming the website from a product-driven website to an informative conversation about what the high-end vacation club has to offer. The new site features the benefits of joining a vacation club while still showcasing the beautiful properties and locations. To increase user conversion, different types form submissions were strategically placed throughout the site. This led to high qualified leads and helped shorten the sales process as the prospect was more informed.
Additionally in helping lead generation, I led the development group in creating the CMS solution that allowed marketers to create unique landing pages with reusable components.
Before Exclusive Resorts embarked in their rebrand, the company and branding firm wanted to test new brand ideas with our target audiences. I led the creation of single page microsite which allowed the A/B testing to focus on messaging, imagery and brand. This led the company to move forward with a brand that was user tested, marketed, and already helped increase sales.
To enable Exclusive Resorts to connect with their members about the year’s highlights, I led a team of both marketers and developers to create a complete digital experience. In the past, the company would sent out printed books and wanted to not only save money, but engage with a new generation of members. Knowing that the members would be driven to the site from an email, we created a responsive website that highlighted key information through animated callouts, infographics, executive interview videos and downloadable assets.
Additionally, I led the development and creation of the CMS solution that allowed marketers to repurpose the website for other online campaigns.
Salon Forum is a Littleton, Colorado salon that houses high-end hair stylists and they wanted a website to reflect that. To showcase their work, I created a website that features their favorite hairstyles, services, and client testimonials. To make maintenance easy for the salon, I implemented a WordPress Content Management System and used existing Plugins or hand-coded CSS and JQuery to create the user experience. The website is currently undergoing SEO updates (which the sites was built to include) and have received multiple compliments about how the site now reflects the salon.
Quark Inc. is a global software development company that provides solutions for designers and publishers for 30 years. In 2007, Quark launched their new dynamic publishing solutions and three websites. But by 2010, the company wanted to bring everything into one website. By using user centric design theory, I combined the three websites into one with a clear call-to action. This had a huge impact to the website's ROI because the user conversion rate rised by 472%.
But there was more success. The main problem with the older websites were updating and maintenance. While converting the entire sites to one, I created a CSS structure that would allow for expansion and easily read by other frontend developers. In fact, when QuarkXPress 9 was launched with a new visual design, it only took 2 days to convert the 200+ page website to the new look and feel.
Jon Lew is a successful tattoo artist and needed a website that he could showcase tattoos, art work, and events he would be attending. Being inspired by his tattoo drawings and paintings, I wanted to incorporate his outlines into the web design itself so the user understands exactly what he does. Also to make updating the website for Jon, I installed a WordPress Content Management System that he can maintain on his own.
